Empire is a great company for an experienced sales rep. The job comes down to skill and motivation. You get paid additional for creating your own customers but unlike most other sales jobs, Empire supplies you with hot leads. You're given customer appointment information and what they're interested in and its your job to give the customer the best possible experience that you can. This is a very independent job you go into the office a couple times a week to turn in paperwork and have a sales meeting but the rest of the time you're out with customers in their homes. The hardest part of this job was the fact that it is totally commission based pay and some customers have unrealistic expectations on what a job would cost, so sometimes you spend a good amount of time and money getting out to a customers house only to walk away empty handed. The company provided great intensives like bonuses and reward programs but since you're an independent contractor there were no employee health benefits.

On March 16, 2020 I had Empire Today at my home. I ordered carpet for $1400 the same day. Later when my wife returned home she had a misunderstanding of what carpet she thought we were going to install in our home.

The very next day I found out we was getting laid off due to the covid 19, so I called and cancelled my order. I was told I would get my refund 5 to 10 days. I called back after 5 days, then I was told I will get my money between 5 to 30 days and to this date, that is not their policy and I have not yet received my refund from Empire Today(4/3/20). This is a tough time for America, and for a company like Empire Today not to follow their return policy, I think is ridiculous.
